This program is designed to support homeowners with the maintenance of their homes, particularly focusing on concerns relevant to desert environments and snowbirds. Each seminar features a PowerPoint presentation that lasts between one and two hours. After the presentation, there is a dedicated question-and-answer period. In total, attendees should expect to spend less than three hours at a seminar. Previous seminar topics have included:

  • Preparing your home for the summer season
  • Maintaining irrigation systems
  • Managing and installing Wi-Fi systems in your home
  • Home security systems, including cameras
  • Leak detection

Typically, two seminars are held each season, in February and March. The topics for these seminars are determined based on feedback from surveys distributed in the fall. If there is sufficient interest and support from homeowners, with a minimum of ten participants, more seminars and additional topics may be offered.
